Finding the best face and body bronzer can be hard! I have a pretty fair complexion and the ones I’ve tried, have either been too orange or too muddy. I’ve asked all of my beauty guru friends about which ones they recommend and here’s what I’ve tried and approve of!
For the face, Cargo Cosmetics Bronzers rule! They come in 3 different shades (light, medium, dark) and have a minimal amount of shimmer so you don’t look like you’re a greasy mess. They also have one matte option in the medium shade which is my favorite and looks so natural on men as well!
Body bronzers are tricky. You don’t want it to get on your clothes and you don’t want to look like an Oompa Loompa! I’m sure everyone has heard of Lorac’s Tantalizer
but I’m here to confirm that it is by far, the best body bronzer I’ve ever had. It’s the least transfer resistant and has the best golden color. They even came out with a deeper shade for darker skin tones. If you don’t know – Now you know! Get into it!
On the days when I get lazy to do my hair, I turn to Kevin Murphy’s Hair Resort Spray. It’s like Bumble and bumble’s Surf Spray except I find it to be a bit more moisturizing and it smells divine! It gives me the beachy texture and activates my wavy hair and makes it look effortless and cool!
I also found another little gem from Kevin Murphy – Color Bugs! Because of work, I can’t commit to coloring my hair but it allows me to have as much fun without the commitment. It comes in purple, hot pink and orange and it looks amazing on blondes or brunettes!
I’ve been really drawn to stripes lately and it’s probably because of the Marc Jacobs Spring Ready-to-Wear collection! I think basic pieces that are timeless are the best purchases so I’ve been eyeing this simple red striped boatneck sweater and classic slightly flared pants! Then it inspired a whole idea to incorporate nautical chic into my wardrobe for the Spring/Summer.
I’m going to pair this outfit with the Marc Jacobs Shiela tote in Yellow and a simple, comfortable and very affordable pair of Sperry Top-Sider two-toned wedge sandals!
Finally, I’m completing my outfit with Butter Royal Navy Nail Lacquer and Covergirl Lip Perfection Jumbo Gloss Balm in Ruby Twist for lots of moisture with a sheer pop of color.
I’ve realized that liquid liner (which is a big trend for Spring) is great for shaping and pulling up your eye. I’ve been wearing it quite often and it’s had me getting in touch with my inner Gwen Stefani! My current go-to outfit is my black leather cropped biker jacket, a white tee, jeans and basic black pumps. I think it’s important to accessorize this simple outfit so I’ve found some affordable rocker chic dangling earrings from designer Glynneth B to pair with my slicked back ponytail and black liquid liner look!
