The 69th Annual Cannes Film Festival

So, I’ve just returned from the 69th Annual Cannes Film Festival and let me just say…WOW. The South of France is one of the most beautiful regions I’ve visited but during the festival everything is heightened. Hollywood takes over and there is a sense of glitz and glamour that makes you feel like you are in a different era. There are red carpets and paparazzi all over and movies stars dressed to the nines everywhere you turn. It is truly a sight to be seen.

This was my second year attending the festival but my first with a film premiering. While the parties are always fun, being on stage and having my movie shown for the first time was an experience I’ll never forget. The film, “Dog Eat Dog”, is a project I am so proud of and excited about and to stand on stage with Nicolas Cage, Willem Dafoe and Paul Schrader at the Directors Fortnight felt like a dream. I can’t wait for you all to see it!

My Love for Animals Grows…

Everyone who knows me knows about my love for my dogs. I mean I’m basically a crazy dog lady when I travel with all four of them. They are my littlest loves, my best friends and really the only ones I look forward to spending time with after a long days work.

With that said, there is a new animal species that is creeping its way into my heart. HORSES. I am currently obsessed. I’d ridden horses in the past and always had a love for them but recently I was lucky enough to do a western themed photo shoot up in Malibu and I got to pose with a horse. Even though they are huge animals there is something so calm about them. I’ve since been on two riding excursions, one in Hawaii and one in Santa Barbara and I’m already plotting when I can get back in the saddle.
