As you know by now, I love fashion. I love how it’s wearable art and I love that it lets you express yourself and your mood. With that being said, I have to confess that I usually stick to a pretty standard uniform in my day to day life. When asked recently to describe my style I said “comfortable and chic with a bit of sex appeal” and my uniform is just that. The bodysuit + denim skirt is my go to.
While I love getting all dressed up for a red carpet, I am all about comfort and ease when I’m running around. A bodysuit and skirt is perfect for that because it can be dressed up or down and is really appropriate for any occasion. Throw on a higher neck bodysuit and pair with sneakers and I’m ready for a trip to the dog park or combine a lace up bodysuit with heels and I’m ready for a night out on the town.
Now that I’ve filled you in on my secret for dressing with ease, don’t be surpised to see me wearing my uniform any and everywhere. And try it yourself, I promise you’ll be instantly hooked on this easy and sexy look.
My favorite show: Zuhair Murad
I had the privilege of traveling to Paris last week for the Couture Fashion Shows and it was incredible. I have always been a fan of fashion and to see some of my favorite designers up close and personal in one of my favorite cities was a dream come true! While all of the shows I got to see were incredible in their own way, Zuhair Murad was the top for me.
I loved the way that the looks were all modern yet elegant and feminine. Fashion can be so avant-garde but at the Zuhair show the pieces still looked wearable and beautiful while having that dramatic effect. Each look that came down the runway spoke to me and I could see myself wearing a lot of the pieces on a red carpet.
My three favorite looks were…
- While typically I like to steer away from black on a red carpet, I loved this gown so much. The tiered skirt combined with the sheer panels was so sexy in an understated way. I also loved the femininity of the bell sleeves to offset the black color.
- This jumpsuit! The purple color, the open back, the neckline, there isn’t one thing I don’t like about it. There is something so sexy about a jumpsuit and this is one that I could totally see myself wearing.
- I don’t know what my favorite part about this look is! The color, the exposed shoulders, the hat. When it came down the runway I was in awe. I love the sleek cut of the gown and the intricate details were breathtaking.
